I want to make a demo for the C64, but I can't code or make fancy graphics on the C64

And I'm pushing for more demos under the demogroup name (I haven't decided on a name yet)

I love learning how to code on Godot.
Would love to find another Godot coder for collaboration for a Demo.
Released under HBC or maybe something else, everything is up to discussion.

Maybe in the future I shall try LÖVE2D or Bevy or what open-source engines are out there.

Or maybe even make my own, but I definitely won't have skills for that for multiple years from now.

Last year I got 4th at Assembly 2024 with a demo for the 1995-era Macintosh (targeted the low-end Performa 5200, 75 MHZ). The tech is pretty great, no other game or demo for Mac has a faster software rasterizer nor real-time lighting. However, the demo should have been stronger in design and graphics - it was mostly an afterthought and last-minute.

I always wanted the Mac to have something to show as a counter to the great 1995 PC demos but I don't think Mac is there yet.

absolute demoscene noobie working on a first release.

It's a demo for a very exotic platform: a Casio calculator.
I managed to get a mod player working on the limited resources.

The hardware has very tight limitations on RAM, so any MOD files need to be really small.
It can play modarchive.org (13.44 KiB) for example.

Hi folks! I'm from Fugu Quintet - we make dark and artsy music. As it's abstract and we have instrumentals only - we need artsy, clearly non-AI generated and moody videos that we can use as vertical videos for promotion or even visualisations for the track on the youtube.

I think this forum is the right place for me.

I´ve seen it all. Even been to that Revision stage a couple of times. Had all that recording room stress. Cheap hotels. Nasty backstage parties. So - let me assure I totally understand your mindset and your focus to achieve greatness in demoscening. But believe me - for now this is cool - but there is a life beyond bits and bytes.
